Lenore – A knife inspired by Poe

Lenore is Lia Hofmeister’s first knife design – a tribute to the dark elegance of Gothic aesthetics and the atmosphere of Edgar Allan Poe’s famous poem “The Raven.”

The blade features ornate cutouts modeled after the filigree lines of Gothic windows. Pointed arches, fine bars, and architectural shadows give the knife an almost sacred appearance, as if it were a fragment of a steel cathedral.

At the end of the handle is a copper ball whose warm sheen forms a fascinating contrast to the cool blade. Optionally, a 3D-printed titanium ball can be ordered, whose pattern echoes the openwork of the blade and continues it in a reflective manner—a small, technical work of art that completes the design.

The titanium handle itself features a filigree pattern that continues the Gothic design language: delicate, ornamental, light, yet robust.

Lenore is not just a knife—it is a piece of modern Gothic art. An object that translates Poe’s dark romanticism into metal and brings a young designer’s vision to life in a unique form.
